The Mumbai Diocese was formed with effect from 1st April 2005. It covers three states in India i.e. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and the Kuwait Region.

The Diocese has Seven Centres.There are 56 churches and 15 congregations in this diocese.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos is the Diocesan Episcopa and there are 48 clergy serving in this Diocese.

The Church in this western region of the country spreads over an increasingly multilingual, multicultural and the pluralistic context.
